Our Policies

1. Tenants and Guests are responsible for any damage or injury caused by themselves, their guests, their children and/or pets.
2. Tenant assumes any and all risks associated with the foregoing and agrees to hold the Frank Childress Reserve (FCR) and its agents harmless from and indemnify FCR and its agents against the same.
3. The FCR is not responsible for personal injuries or damage, loss or theft of any personal property or vehicle.
4. We reserve the right to evict any person(s) without refund of reservation costs who do not comply with the rules and policies.
5. Possession or use of illegal drugs is prohibited and will result in immediate evection from the camp and reported to local authorities.
6. Vandalism of any kind by anyone in your group (regardless of age) may result in eviction from the camp without refund.
7. Profanity or violence towards other guests or FCR staff will result in immediate eviction from the camp without refund.

Check in is at 12 PM CST and entitles you to your site until 10 AM the day after check in. Early check in is not permitted without prior written approval by the caretaker. The guests who paid for the site the night before you has paid for their site until 10 AM. We will not ask a guest to leave so that you can check in early. If you will be arriving in the area early, please make arrangements until your site opens up at noon. We do not have a waiting area for those checking in early. Check out time is 10 AM. You will need to contact the office for check out to confirm your site was left in the same condition it was received or if you need to pay for an after-hours check in.
Late check-ins are allowed at any time, please contact the camp to let the caretaker know and for instructions.

Payments
A 25% deposit is due at the time the reservation is made. The remaining 75% is due upon checkin.
Cancelations
CANCELLATIONS WITHOUT GOOD CAUSE FOR MULTI DAY RENTALS: • In the event of a cancellation by the Tenant/ guest without Good Cause, the FCR shall refund 75% of the full reservation cost and retain 25% as liquidated damages, if made 60 days or greater in advance of the reservation. If the cancellation is made less than 60 days before the reservation date, but greater than 30 days, the FCR shall refund 50% of the full reservation cost and retain 50% as liquidated damages. If the cancellation is made less than 30 days before the reservation date, the FCR shall refund 0% of the full reservation cost and retain 100% as liquidated damages. In the event of a cancellation by FCR without Good Cause, the CLIENT shall receive a full refund of any payments made. Good Cause includes events or conditions that frustrates the purpose of this Agreement to include: (a) acts of God; (b) flood, fire, earthquake; (c) war or civil unrest; (d) government order or law or action by any governmental authority; or (e) epidemic, pandemic or similar global illness.

If the cancellation is made less than 14 days before the reservation date, but greater than 7 days, the FCR shall refund 50% of the full reservation cost and retain 50% as liquidated damages. If the cancellation is made less than 7 days before the reservation date, the FCR shall refund 0% of the full reservation cost and retain 100% as liquidated damages. In the event of a cancellation by FCR without Good Cause, the CLIENT shall receive a full refund of any payments made. Good Cause includes events or conditions that frustrates the purpose of this Agreement to include: (a) acts of God; (b) flood, fire, earthquake; (c) war or civil unrest; (d) government order or law or action by any governmental authority; or (e) epidemic, pandemic or similar global illness.
• CANCELLATIONS FOR GOOD CAUSE: • In the event of cancellation by either party for Good Cause, the parties will cooperate to re-schedule the reservation to a mutually agreeable date, without penalty to either party.

All Items must be left in as good if not better condition than when found. If items are not cleaned you will be accessed a cleaning fee.

Pet Policies
All pets must be checked in with the caretaker upon arrival.
The Frank Childress Reserve (FCR) is not responsible for and will hold accountable the pet owner for any injury or damage caused by their pet.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone whose pet is NOT considered suitable to the serenity/ safety of our guests at Camp Childress.
There is a one pet per rental limit without prior written consent.
Leash
We ask that you keep your pets on a leash under the control of someone that can manage them at all times. This helps you, your pet, and other guests and other guests’ pets stay safe.
Buildings and Pool Area
Pets are not allowed in the buildings or inside the area fenced for the pool, including the fenced area between the pool and the pool house. Please do not tie your pet to our trees, doors, or posts.
Cleaning Up After Your Pet
Be a good neighbor and please clean up after your pet always. Do not let your pet deposit waste on your site or any of our other guests’ sites please. Failure to clean up after your pet will result in you being asked to leave without a refund.
Leaving Pets Unattended
Pets may not be left unattended. Please do not tie your pet to a tree and leave. Leaving your pets unattended is dangerous for your pet as many factors including weather, power outages, etc. can affect your pets well-being while you are away. Leaving your pet unattended in public spaces will result in you being asked to leave without refund.
Pet Vaccinations
All pets must be vaccinated prior to visiting our camp. Please make sure your pet’s shots are up todate. Proof of vaccinations should be available, if requested.
Barking
Excessive barking is not tolerated and disturbs your neighbors. Please note that excessive barking may result in you being asked to leave without refund.
Service Animals
Service animals may accompany a disabled person without proof of disability or certification of the service animal. Comfort animals are not considered service animals.

Speed Limit
The camp speed limit is 5 mph. This policy is to keep you, your children, and your pets safe. Exceeding this speed limit will result in a warning. Multiple warnings will require us to ask you to leave without refund. Safety is our number one priority for our guests.
Parking
Each paid guest registration includes 1 vehicle per site unless otherwise noted. Extra vehicles will need to be parked in appropriate areas designated by the caretaker. Ruts caused in your site due to additional vehicles will result in damage charges.
No parking in common areas. Do not park in the middle of the road. Do not park in sites that you did not register for and do not block our garages or our bathroom and laundry room doors.
Parking on the grass is not permitted at RV Sites or in tent areas.

Site Changes
You have been assigned a specific site, if you wish to move please check with the caretaker. Due to reservations and maintenance, moving may not be possible. Please inquire before moving sites.
Open Fires
Open fires are not allowed in our park. Fires must be in firepits or designated fire rings. The fire ring shall not be moved. Fires in areas not designated with a fire ring, building a rock fire ring or moving a fire ring shall incur a $50 restoration charge due to the heat damage to the grass and soil.
Parking
Please do not park your vehicle or trailer in an adjacent site. Use of more than one rental site will result in additional charges. Vehicles shall only be parked in areas designated for parking, as stated by signage or by the caretaker.
Site and Park Navigation
Please be respectful of your neighbor and do not walk between sites when navigating the camp. Please use main roads, sidewalks, and designated public paths to walk around the campground.
Severe Weather
In case of severe weather, seek shelter in the pool house. Signs for shelter areas are posted. We love pets, so please bring them with you and please do not leave them in your campsite during severe weather warnings.
Visitors
Only registered guests are permitted to enter the park. All visitors must check in with the caretaker to register, pay a fee and receive a parking pass. Visitors may not bring pets. Camp Childress reserves the right to limit the number of people visiting a site. Day visitors must depart by 10:00 pm CST. Please check with the caretaker before inviting any visitors. Registered guests are responsible for ensuring their visitors are properly registered and that all campground rules are followed.
All guests visiting someone in the park must register and pick up a pass from the caretaker and park in the designated area. Vehicle Pass must be visible at all times please.
Restrooms
For the comfort of all our guests, restrooms are open 24/7 with exception of a temporary closing for cleaning. We ask for your help in keeping the restrooms clean, please.
Pool
No lifeguard is on duty. Pool will only be open for guests that have specifically rented the pool. Anyone under 18 must be supervised in the pool area at all times. Horseplay, running, and diving is not permitted in our pool area. Alcohol and Food is not permitted inside the pool itself. Loud music, glass, and rough play are not permitted at our pool. Failure to follow these rules will result in you being asked to leave without refund. Children in diapers are not allowed in our pool. Only swimming suits and swimming trunks permitted in our pool, no cut offs.
Quiet Time Policies
Quiet time is 10 PM to 7 AM. Anyone playing loud music will be warned only once and then asked to leave without a refund.
Trash Disposal and Recycling
Trash cans are located throughout the park. Please tie trash bags completely closed and put your trash completely in the trash container. If the first can is full, please find another container or place it directly in the dumpster. Please do not place your trash on the ground. Woodland creates like possums and racoons are attracted to left out or disposed of food and while we think they are cute and wonderful animals, we don’t want you to find a surprise night visiting racoon at your site because of incorrectly disposed of trash! Do not dispose of wires, oil, furniture, mattresses, or any toxic waste or chemicals in our trash cans.
A dumpster is available on the north side of the dining hall. Please do not dispose of any motor oil, cooking oil, wires, furniture, mattresses, or any toxic or hazardous waste items. Failure to adhere to this rule may result in charges for disposal fees.
We currently recycle cardboard, plastic, tin and aluminum. Please bring any recycling items to our recycling trailer on the north side of the dining hall.
Children
Children under 13 must be supervised by an adult at all times. Horseplay, running, or diving in the pool is not permitted. Riding bicycles without a parent and on our main entrance road is prohibited for the safety of your children and our incoming motorized guests.
Drones
Drones are not permitted in our park without prior written approval.
Clotheslines
Clotheslines are not permitted in our park, except as designated by the caretaker.
Fireworks and Firearms
Fireworks and firearms are strictly prohibited in our park. The prohibiting of fireworks includes sparklers, smoke bombs, aerials, and firecrackers. The prohibiting of firearms includes all guns including air soft, BB, and pellet guns. If these items are seen, you will be asked to leave immediately without a refund.
Repairs
Repairs to RVs and vehicles are not permitted in our park. We are happy to recommend a local Mobile RV Repair service that comes out to your site to assist you with any repairs.
